Ed has eleven years’ experience in the environmental sector, the last nine of which have been in ecological consultancy.

Key skills include:

• Holds current Natural England class licences for; Great Crested Newt and Dormouse
• Holds Field Identification Skills Certificate (FISC) – Level 5
• NVC surveys and Extended Phase 1 Habitat surveys
• Protected species surveys
• Biodiversity Net Gain Assessments including; Habitat Condition Assessments and a qualified River Condition Assessment surveyor
• Experience in writing PEAs, EcIAs, CEcoMPs and LEMPs
• Preparation of and named ecologist on European Protected Species Development Licences (hazel dormouse)
• ArcGIS and QGIS mapping
• Ecological Clerk of Works
• River Condition Assessments for Biodiversity Metric 3
