BNG and development
A 10% net gain in biodiversity is now a statutory requirement for the majority of developments in England. We provide clear and pragmatic BNG advice for developers and work closely with project-design teams to maximise BNG delivery within development layouts. BNG baselines are surveyed by our expert ecological specialists, who hold FISC Level 4/5 botanical qualifications and River Condition Assessment/MoRPh certification. Our team of dedicated BNG and GIS analysts ensure that Statutory Biodiversity Metrics are completed accurately and that plans are presented clearly. We have also developed bespoke rapid BNG-assessment tools to provide high-level appraisals to inform land acquisition, viability assessment and masterplanning. Our Habitat Management and Monitoring Plans, produced for Statutory Biodiversity Gain Plans, are based on extensive experience and ensure delivery and long-term success for the creation and enhancement measures proposed.
