Advances in technology are enhancing the tools available to ecologists. We are at the forefront of these innovations so our clients benefit from the accuracy and cost-efficiency new technology offers. We have been training staff and investing significantly in new equipment, such as:
- High-resolution thermal imaging and infra-red cameras for enhanced detection of bats and bird on nocturnal surveys, whilst reducing surveyor time and cost.
- Tablet computers and bespoke digital recording forms designed in-house and linking with our GIS for efficient collection, processing and mapping of field survey data.
- Overhauling our IT infrastructure to enhance data processing and storage, enabling more efficient analysis and secure long-term data storage.
- Upgrading all static bat detectors to record in full spectrum, enabling collection of higher-quality bat data and improved species identification.
