The UK Habitat Classification System (UKHabs) is a new standardised survey approach to defining habitats across a range of sites. It is a valuable tool and now used increasingly in ecological impact assessments and biodiversity net gain calculations.
Building on the survey expertise within the company, EAD Ecologist David Williamson, recently attended a UKHabs training course to develop further his FISC Level 4 Botanical skills. Here’s what David had to say about the course “The UKHabs course has given me a great foundation in using this new habitat classification system. I can’t wait to get in the field to put what I’ve learnt into practice and build on these new skills!”
